CRIM CITY

COMMODITY DESK · season 2

Nobody can run a chain alone. Every trade makes something it cannot use and needs something it cannot make, so the finished value of anything on this page took at least two Discord servers to produce and an argument about the price.

The index

Every block prices every good on its own, pulled toward what the block is and pushed around by what people actually buy there. Cheapest and dearest are the two ends of the city on the day, and the gap between them is the entire trade — there is no exchange and nothing is delivered, so somebody has to carry it past the patrols in between.

What turns into what

Every step belongs to a different trade. That is enforced rather than intended: a test walks each trade's recipes and fails the build if one of them produces something another of its own recipes consumes.
